1.4 Celebrate the Sun Latest June 10, 2026

SolGlow now makes hitting your goal feel as good as it is — plus a full accessibility and consistency pass across the whole app.

  • NewCelebrations & streaks. Confetti and a success haptic when you meet your daily goal, with milestones at 7, 30, and 100 days. Your goal now counts sun, supplements, and diet together — so winter days count too.
  • ProSunscreen reapply timer. Start a session wearing SPF and SolGlow schedules an 80-minute reapply reminder, with a live Lock Screen countdown and an "I reapplied" button that restarts it without opening the app.
  • ProYour Week in the Sun. A shareable, story-sized recap of your week — total vitamin D, goals met, your streak, and your sunniest day — with an optional Sunday-evening reminder.
  • FreeDark mode, refined. Every card now renders with proper elevation in dark mode.
  • FreeOne daily goal everywhere. Dashboard, History, Day Detail, widget, notifications, and rings all grade against the same canonical goal — no more mismatches.
  • FreeClearer permissions. Location-denied states get an Open Settings path, and people without an Apple Watch get an honest explainer instead of endless zeros.
  • PolishAccessibility. First full VoiceOver pass, Dynamic Type for hero numbers and the History calendar, contrast fixes, and color-blind-safe cues. Onboarding is now half as long, and outfit settings stick reliably.
1.3.1 Bug fix June 8, 2026

A focused stability release for the Live Activity and the Apple Watch.

  • FixLive Session accuracy. Fixed the vitamin D figure freezing on the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen, and a case where a live session wasn't being recorded to history.
  • FixApple Watch stability. Resolved a watchOS connectivity watchdog crash by moving received-context reads off the main thread.
1.3 Morning Light June 3, 2026

SolGlow grew from measuring the sun to helping you use it — with a focus on morning light and how your body actually puts vitamin D to work.

  • ProMorning Light. A new dashboard card showing your first daylight of the day and how soon after waking it landed, plus a gentle morning reminder. Reads your wake time from Apple Health Sleep Analysis.
  • ProCofactor support. Log magnesium, K2, B12, and omega-3 and SolGlow shows a Low / Adequate / Optimized bioavailability badge — because vitamin D needs help to work.
  • ProLife-stage targets. Pick your stage — child, pregnant, 75+, or prediabetes — and your daily target and guidance adjust to the latest Endocrine Society groupings.
  • ProEditable history. Fix a day's recorded sunlight minutes from History → Day Detail, and the day's vitamin D, calendar, serum projection, and doctor report all re-compute.
  • ProApple Watch Smart Stack. A new watchOS widget and face complications showing today's IU against your goal and your serum estimate.
  • FreeA canonical UV source. SolGlow now writes the day's peak UV index to Apple Health, so your device's UV data comes from an app that actually models it.
1.2 May 27, 2026

A deeper Pro tier and a richer live experience while you're out in the sun.

  • NewSun-session Live Activity. Track an active sun session live on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island as your vitamin D ticks up.
  • ProExpanded Pro features. Additional dashboard depth and tracking tools landed behind the SolGlow Pro unlock.
  • FreePricing settled. SolGlow Pro moved to a one-time $7.99 lifetime unlock — still no subscription, ever.
1.1 May 2026

SolGlow became free to try, and gained its companion-app connection.

  • NewFree to try. SolGlow moved to a free download with a 14-day full-feature preview, then a one-time unlock — full dashboard, forecast, watch app, and widget, nothing held back during the preview.
  • NewCalmTide companion sync. If you also use CalmTide, the two apps now share a small daily summary on-device so each can show a fuller picture of your sun, sleep, and recovery.
  • FreePer-day clothing in History. Adjust what you were actually wearing on any past day and your vitamin D and burn estimates re-compute to match.
  • PolishSmarter widget & background refresh. Faster, more accurate widget snapshots and a new coordinator that keeps the dashboard, widget, and watch in sync after you've been outside.
1.0 Launch April 2026

The first release — turning the sun into a measurable nutrient.

  • NewVitamin D from real sunlight. Estimates the vitamin D you produced today from your Apple Watch's Time in Daylight, your location's solar geometry, the day's UV, and your skin profile — in real IU, not just minutes outside.
  • NewSunburn guardian. Conservative, skin-type-aware burn warnings that fire when peak UV plus your time outside approaches your threshold.
  • NewEvery source in one place. Log foods (USDA FoodData Central), supplements, and dietary intake, and see a projected serum level alongside today's exposure.
  • NewApple Watch app & Home Screen widget. A glanceable summary of today's sunlight, vitamin D, and burn status.
  • FreePrivate by design. No accounts, no analytics, no ads. Everything stays on your device — the only network call is an anonymous UV-forecast lookup.
